What do I really believe in?
My religion has always been a big part of my life. I was baptisted as a baby and received first communion in grade 3. In grade 6 I had confirmation. My family tries to go to church every Sunday. I used to think that the whole world revolved around God, and some people still think that, but personally I've grown away from the idea and started thinking more openly. I still love God and believe in the after life and he will always play a role in my life but not control it! I believe in the amazing miracles that he has made, and I believe in the whole spiritual meanings of all the holidays. As I will get older I think I will think more openly and less about the whole round about of God, but I will always celebrate the true meanings of all the holidays. I try and go to church in my spare time, and attend spiritual functions with my grandparents.
Catholic Prayer
Catholic Meaning of Prayer:
Prayer can be defined as the " raising" of one's mind and heart to God or the requesting of good things from God.
Thanksgiving, and Praise Bible Quote:
1 Corinthians 1:4-5I always thank God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus. For in him you have been enriched in every way--in all your speaking and in all your knowledge.
3rd Commandment States:
We show our love to God by honoring and obeying Him. We should respect and worship Him to the greatest of our abilities. One of the most important ways to respect God is found in the Third Commandment.
Different way God responds to prayer: Below is the way people think God responds to prayer along with a bible quote that goes along.
"No, I love you too much." "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."( John 3:16)
"Yes, but you'll have to wait."
"My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one" (John 17:15)
"Yes, but not what you expected." "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you" (Matt. 7:7).
"Yes, and here's more!" "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" (Prov. 3:5-6).
"Yes, I thought you'd never ask." "'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future'" (Jer. 29:11).
That God's infinite is bigger than other infinities:
“Some infinities are bigger than other infinities.”
― John Green, The Fault in Our Stars
This quote that I have above states that sometimes other persons infinities are bigger than yours. Like God; his infinity is probably way bigger than any one could ever understand, and hopefully we can get the chance to ask him one day!
Define the relationship between human freedom and prayer:
Martin Luther Claims:
“Therefore, it is not irreverent, inquisitive, or trivial, but helpful and necessary for a Christian, to find out whether the will does anything or nothing in matters pertaining to eternal salvation.… If we do not know these things, we shall know nothing at all of things Christian and shall be worse than any heathen.… Therefore, let anyone who does not feel this confess that he is no Christian. For if I am ignorant of what, how far, and how much I can and may do in relation to God, it will be equally uncertain and unknown to me what, how far, and how much God can and may do in me.… But when the works and power of God are unknown in this way, I cannot worship, praise, thank, and serve God, since I do not know how much I ought to attribute to myself and how much to God. It therefore behooves us to be very certain about the distinction between God’s power and our own, God’s work and our own, if we want to live a godly life.”
*This paragraph that Martin Luther had said means that when you are a Christian, it is helpful that you may find out what eternity he has, and if he does not find out then he has no right to being a Christian. If you ignore your relationship with God then you will not know his ways. We have power of our own as people but God also has power among us, and that we should live a life filled with prayer for a fulfilled life.*
A bible quote explaining how God is the creator of man and should live with God in his heart.
“No one can come to Me, unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day (John 6:44).

How I've showed the beatitudes
1. One time when I helped somebody else: I try and help everyone out whenever I can, especially in class or around the house with my parents.
2. One time when I had friends or parent who was upset and i listened to them or helped them out. Or a time I said i was sorry: I love my friends and if they have any problems then I try and help them. I also listen to my parents rant or talk to them about problems they may have and I just sit and listen.
3. When you showed a lot of kindness and you didn't freak out at them: Not very often, but a couple times when my brother made me mad, I just left it alone and walked away from him. Also with my friends, if they make me upset or mad at them, I don't say anything and forget about it.
4. A time when you did something right or you did your best or spoke your mind: In club volleyball I always tried my best all season and listen to the coaches to try something new or don't do something, and when our coach was being unreasonable at one time in the season; I went to talk to him and spoke my mind and explained everything about how it was unreasonable of what he was doing.
5. When you showed patients, not holding a grudge, or forgiving someone: A couple weeks ago, a really good friend and I had a very bad fight over something that was actually pretty stupid. I apologized and told her that I am still her friend and I will not hold a grudge about it and she can forgive me and apologize or do whatever she wants to with the situation, and that I don't want to fight because she was a really really good friend.
6. When you did something when you didn't expect anything in return: I always do things with expecting nothing in return, examples being, holding the door for a lot of people, doing chores with out asking money, or babysitting for family for no charge.
7. When you got harassed or bullied and how you dealt with it or stopped a bully: When I get bullied or harassed about something; yes, sometimes I do react with a comeback, but sometimes I realize that I just have to be quiet and stop interrogate them with saying something back.
8. One time when you refused something very bad: When I have said no to drugs and overdosing on alcohol.
